Role Overview
This is a hands on role where you will take ownership of WHS across a dynamic manufacturing site. You will be on the ground, partnering with leaders and teams to embed a strong safety culture, lead audits and investigations, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes. From training and contractor management through to inspections and emergency readiness, you will play a key role in ensuring safety is integrated into everything the business does.
About the Person
You are a confident, site-based WHS professional from a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’re comfortable working autonomously, influencing leaders and calling things out when they’re not right, while still building strong relationships across the business. You bring a practical, solutions focused approach and are confident making decisions and providing guidance.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to drive safety accountability and mindset shift

Lead incident management, investigations and corrective actions

Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across site

Maintain and improve WHS systems, processes and reporting

Deliver training, inductions and toolbox talks

Support contractor management and emergency preparedness

Contribute to system improvements, including Rapid Global
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Qualification in Work Health & Safety or similar

Experience in WHS within food manufacturing or FMCG (essential)

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance
-
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change
-
Experience across audits, incidents and safety systems
