Aquavue Beachfront Bar & Eatery is seeking a full-time Supervising Front of House / Barista to join our team.

This position suits an experienced hospitality professional who is confident in a fast-paced café environment and comfortable supporting team operations during busy service periods.

Aquavue Beachfront Bar & Eatery is a beachfront café and bar located in Hervey Bay, offering breakfast, lunch, beverages, and bar service. We operate in a high-volume environment with a focus on consistency, teamwork, and customer service.

The Role

As a Supervising Front of House / Barista, you will assist in maintaining service standards while working across both coffee and floor service. You will support daily operations and provide guidance to other front-of-house team members when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing hot and cold beverages to a consistent standard
• Operating efficiently during high-volume service periods
• Supporting workflow and team coordination
• Assisting with customer service and floor supervision
• Maintaining presentation and cleanliness standards
• Following venue policies and procedures

Skills & Experience

• Experience operating a commercial coffee machine
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and well presented
• Comfortable working both on the floor and behind the bar
• Ability to take initiative and assist with team leadership when required

Previous experience in a senior FOH or supervisory role is desirable but not essential.

Certifications

• QLD RSA (or willingness to obtain)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
