We are seeking an Assistant café Manager to join our hospitality team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.

We are seeking an Assistant Café Manager to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will support the Operations Manager in daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and leading staff to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Duties

• Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café
• Manage inventory levels and oversee stock takes
• Train and mentor new staff members
• Assist in tracking daily sales and ensuring financial targets are met
• Help develop and implement promotional strategies to increase sales

You will have:

• Proven experience in a café or restaurant setting, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and support staff
• Certificates in food safety, hygiene, and practices
• Good oral English communication skills
• (Preferred but not essential) Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
