Pet Care Driver (Casual)

Love animals? Comfortable driving a manual? Looking for meaningful work (with a very important back seat passenger)?

We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Pet Care Driver to join our team on a casual basis. This role involves the respectful transfer and handling of deceased pets from veterinary clinics and family homes — supporting families during a sensitive time with care, professionalism and kindness.

Casual rate: $33.00 per hour
Weekend on-call availability required
Full training provided

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely transferring and handling deceased pets with dignity and respect
• Completing accurate documentation and identification procedures (details matter!)
• Communicating professionally with families and clinic staff
• Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and well-presented
• Lifting and transporting pets of varying sizes (yes, some big good boys included)

What You’ll Need

• Open C Class driver’s licence (manual) – essential
• Clean driving record
• Confidence driving a manual vehicle
• Comfort working around deceased pets
• Physical ability to lift pets
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional presentation
• A calm, compassionate nature

Pay: $31.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
