About the role

Kick-start the new year with a traineeship where you will learn on the job, study and earn an income, all while working towards obtaining a nationally accredited qualification.  

We have four Trainee Water Industry Operations (2 Year Duration) positions available based from one of Council’s Sewage Treatment Plants in either Batemans Bay, Moruya or Narooma.

In the Trainee Water Industry Operations role, you will gain skills, experience and qualifications in water and sewer operations by assisting with the construction, operation and maintenance of water infrastructure and sewage systems that provide quality services to the community.

Your education will take place through study with a Registered Training Organisation as well as on-the-job training for a two-year period, where you will develop practical skills and complete a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, providing you with a diverse understanding of these essential processes.
