The opportunity

We are in the market for three (3) experienced Library Officers,
passionate about literacy, learning and the community, who enjoy
the rewards of a good challenge. At the City of Mandurah, we strive

Working within the Library Services team, you will provide
excellent customer service, develop and deliver programs, and
contribute to the development of a learning community. You will be
part of a dedicated team providing a professional, dynamic,
engaging, and customer-focussed library service to the
community.

The City of Mandurah Libraries are open Monday to Sunday. 
Weekend and evening work is required.  You will also be
required to work across our three facilities – Falcon Library,
Lakelands Library and Mandurah Library.

To be successful in these roles, you will
need:

  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging learning
    programs
  • Experience working within a customer service environment
    where information is provided to customers and the ability to
    explain information correctly and concisely
  • The ability to assist customers with digital technology
    including library systems
  • Numeracy, cash handling and cashiering skills
  • A current unrestricted C class National driver’s
    licence
  • A current National Police Clearance (within 6 months of
    date of issue)
  • A valid Working With Children Check
  • A minimum Year 12 Achievement Certificate.

  • *The salary for this role commences at step 1, with
    potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated
    skills and experience. Incremental progression typically occurs
    at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with
    the Industrial Agreement.
