A highly regarded public hospital service in Windsor, NSW is seeking experienced Consultant Anaesthetists (Staff Specialists) to join a dynamic and expanding Department of Anaesthesia.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a substantive consultant role within a progressive health service delivering comprehensive perioperative care across a diverse surgical caseload. The department supports a strong culture of clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across elective and emergency services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical teams to optimise patient outcomes
  • Contribute to perioperative medicine initiatives and service development
  • Engage in quality improvement and clinical governance activities
  • Support and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
  • Participate in teaching, education, and, where appropriate, research activities

Candidate Profile
You will be a motivated and collaborative Anaesthetist committed to excellence in patient care and professional development.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in anaesthesia within a comparable healthcare setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-based approach
  • Commitment to teaching, supervision, and ongoing professional development
  • Engagement in quality assurance and clinical governance activities

Desirable Attributes:

  • Interest or expertise in perioperative medicine
  • Experience in system improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Willingness to provide services across multiple hospital sites within the district
