Dwellingup Bush Fire Brigade

volunteers play a significant role in helping to keep their local community

safe. Members are trained and equipped to respond to bushfire incidents,

support prevention initiatives and work alongside other emergency services when

required. This is a rewarding opportunity

to contribute to your community while developing practical skills in a

supportive and team-focused environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Contribute to bushfire prevention, preparedness

and response activities when available

* Support the brigade in both operational and

general brigade activities

* Maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and

community service

* Represent the brigade positively within the

local community

Truck drivers require a Medium Rigid (MR) licence, and

four-wheel drive experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be

provided.

**Key Tasks**

* Respond to bush and scrub fire incidents when

available

* Undertake local fire prevention activities and

hazard reduction support

* Assist with community education and engagement

initiatives

* Regularly attend brigade meetings and training

sessions were possible

* Assist with the inspection and care of brigade

equipment and facilities

* Work alongside other emergency service agencies

as required
