About us:

The Elective Surgery Outsourcing Office manages the waitlist for elective surgery patients for eligible for referral through statewide agreements. The outsourced pathway is inclusive of pre-referral screening following key criteria, monitoring the patient journey and return through to the Hospital and Health Service for ongoing care and follow up after episodes are completed.

About the role:

The Administration Officer position works collaboratively with Team Lead Clinical Outsourcing and the Clinical Nursing Outsourcing and Auditor to support the coordination and management of alternative pathways to planned care/elective surgery. This role ensures accurate patient record management, effective communication with patients and stakeholders to ensure support of timely and safe access to care. Oversee accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records across Queensland Health systems, ensuring compliance with policy and confidentiality requirements. Coordinate the transfer of patients to and from external providers, including obtaining consent, uploading relevant medical records, and liaising with Surgery Connect and private facilities to ensure safe continuity of care. Reinstate patients to Central Queensland Health waitlists following completion of outsourced care and ensure all clinical documentation is filed and uploaded to Queensland Health systems appropriately.

About you:

Previous administrative experience will be highly regarded. High level oral communication and interpersonal skills incorporating the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of health service providers and the general public, utilising discretion and confidentiality in the management of information. High level keyboard, clerical and administrative skills in terms of speed and accuracy, with attention to detail in undertaking all tasks. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change as well as the capacity to prioritise workloads and demonstrate effective time management. Ability to effectively use or quickly acquire the ability to use HBCIS, Surgery Connect Activity Navigator (SCAN) and other Queensland Health Systems.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $8,292 p.m. is comprised of:

An hourly rate between $41.38 – $46.10 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
