Whether you’ve always enjoyed baking, cooking, or just want to get started in a hands on career, this could be the perfect opportunity.

You’ll be working in a real bakery from day one, mixing dough, shaping bread, decorating cakes, and learning how to create high quality products from scratch. No two days are the same, and you’ll be supported every step of the way as you build your skills.

What we’re looking for

• Is keen to learn and give things a go

• Enjoys being active and working with their hands

• Has a positive attitude and can work as part of a team

• Is reliable and willing to grow over time

You don’t need experience to apply. We’re happy to train the right person. If you’ve had a part time or casual job before, that’s a bonus, but not essential.

What you’ll get

• A full time paid apprenticeship

• All TAFE fees covered, no student debt

• One paid day per week at TAFE (Bentley campus)

• Support and mentoring from experienced bakers and pastrychefs

• The chance to compete in state and national competitions

• A nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III in Baking FBP30517

You’ll work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, and reliable transport is important.

By the end of the 3 year apprenticeship, you’ll have the skills and confidence to build a long term career in the baking industry.
