About the role

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is reliable, physically fit, hardworking and passionate about gardening. You will be working in a beautiful, well-maintained and premium residential environment at The Cove, a luxury gated community comprising 92 apartments and townhouses, surrounded by beautifully established lush tropical gardens, landscaped lawns, water features and two pool areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lawn mowing and general lawn care

• Hedging and pruning

• Manual weeding and spray applications

• Green waste collection and removal

• Mulching

• Blowing and maintaining pathways

• General garden and grounds maintenance

• Basic maintenance of drip irrigation systems

• Operating and maintaining gardening and landscape equipment including ride-on mowers, blowers, brush cutters, hedgers, pruners and pressure-cleaning equipment

About you

• Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance

• A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual approach

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team

• A proactive attitude and the ability to use your initiative

• The ability to follow instructions and work safely

• A high level of attention to detail

• A professional and respectful approach when interacting with residents and contractors

• A current driver's licence

• Horticultural qualifications and experience with basic drip irrigation systems will be highly regarded, but are not essential
