The Hillbilly cider shed is a cellar door and wood fired pizza restaurant based in Bilpin, The Hawkesbury/Blue Mountains, a 20-minute drive from North Richmond. We’re a key tourism destination in the area, open 7 days a week. Our aim is to provide relaxed country hospitality to our visitors whilst showcasing our award-winning cider range – including trophies as “Best new world cider 2023-2024” and “Most Successful larger Producer 2023-2024-2025” (Australian cider awards).

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the business owner/ cider maker and working closely with the venue manager.

Warehousing: Maintaining an orderly warehouse and keeping our cellar door venue stocked up.

Deliveries: Undertaking weekly deliveries to our wholesale customers around the local area.

Grounds / Property Maintenance

Main Duties:

- Maintaining an organised stock warehouse and maintaining stock levels at the Hillbilly cider shed .

- Loading and unloading items safely and efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care.

- Delivering weekly to our local wholesale customers - Maintaining delivery records including proof of delivery

- Property and grounds maintenance to keep the venue presentable and operational

- Other duties – assisting the cider maker on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications:

Clean driving licence - essential

Forklift licence – required. We will train and pay for the licence if not currently held.

Experience:

Essential: 5 years minimum driving experience. Our truck requires a standard car licence

Essential:Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and loading of goods.

Advantageous: customer service experience

Advantageous: Forklift experience would be advantageous (if not we will organise and pay for qualification)

- Advantageous: Warehousing experience , delivery experience, handy person / grounds maintenance experience

Skills and Competencies:

- Flexibility: We’re looking to hire a capable person who would enjoy a varied role.

- A competent and safe driver. . Adherence to road safety regulations and company policies at all times.

- A good communicator – the ability to communicate in a friendly clear manner and maintain professionalism whether interacting with wholesale clients, cellar door customers or our own team members.

- Teamwork – A willingness to assist and support others and get on with team members.

Highly organised - The role would suit someone who takes pride in being diligent and organised. This also means the ability to complete tasks on your own and to take the initiative where needed.

- Practical skills: experience in grounds maintenance, lawn mowing etc
