Experienced Bookkeeper wanted for a Geelong firm

Your new company 
This established finance firm provides professional financial services to a diverse client base. With a strong focus on quality, accuracy and personalised service, they are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their team and support the ongoing needs of their clients.

Your new role 
Working within a supportive professional environment, you will manage bookkeeping requirements across a portfolio of clients. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, managing competing priorities and taking ownership of their work.Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Processing payroll and associated reporting
• Preparation and lodgement support for BAS and IAS
• Maintaining accurate general ledger and financial records
• Preparing reports and supporting month-end processes
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain required information
• Working closely with accountants and other members of the finance team
• Ensuring client records are accurate, compliant and up to date

What you'll need to succeed 
To be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:

• Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accounting, finance or professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of Xero, with exposure to MYOB or similar accounting software advantageous
• Experience across reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable and receivable
• Understanding of BAS, GST and general bookkeeping requirements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately across multiple clients
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Confident and professional communication skills
• A proactive, dependable approach and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team
