About the role

Pioneer Community Kindergarten is seeking a passionate, warm and playful Early Childhood Teacher to join their small team. The role involves stepping into a well-established class with routines, relationships and support already in place. You will connect with children and create meaningful learning through play in an environment that values play-based, child-led learning.

Key responsibilities

• Connect with children and create meaningful learning through play

• Follow children's ideas and turn questions into investigations

• Support children's learning in a natural outdoor playground environment

• Build warm and respectful relationships with children

• Communicate positively and professionally with families

• Work collaboratively within a small team

• Implement play-based, child-led learning approaches

• Demonstrate flexibility and reflection in kindy life

About you

• An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification and relevant Queensland teacher registration

• A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

• Current child protection training relevant to the role

• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, including approved asthma and anaphylaxis management training

• A passion for play-based, child-led learning

• The ability to build warm and respectful relationships with children

• A commitment to inclusion and celebrating the strengths of every child

• An understanding of the EYLF and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines

• A genuine love of teaching young children
