About Us

STH Piling is a specialist piling and retention subcontractor operating across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. We run a fleet of piling rigs and excavators across up to 10 concurrent jobs at any given time, delivering CFA piling, bored piers, ground anchors, shotcrete and capping beam works, and bulk excavation for builders across the region.

Our factory and workshop in Rosebud keep this fleet running — and we're looking for a Workshop Assistant to help assist the multiple other roles based here

About the Role

You'll work out of our Rosebud factory supporting the maintenance, servicing, and repair of our piling rigs, excavators, and support plant. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who's reliable, and keen to build a career around heavy plant and machinery.

As well as assisting cleaning organizing and preparing materials for ongoing basement projects

Day to day you'll:

- Assist with servicing and routine maintenance of piling rigs, excavators, and attachments

- Keep the workshop and yard clean, organised, and safe

- Support boiler maker, mechanics and transport with parts, tools, and general labour

- Load/unload and move plant and equipment around the yard as required

- Assist with pre-start checks and getting machines job-ready

- Follow all site and workshop safety procedures

What We're Looking For

- Mechanically minded, with hands-on experience around plant, machinery, trucks, or heavy vehicles (formal trade qualification not essential, but would be a plus)

- A genuine willingness to learn

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a small team

- A current driver's licence

- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work in a workshop/yard environment

- Construction inductuction (white card) / Fork Lift license / EWP looked favourably on
