Job Description:

As a Weddings Team Member at Zonzo Estate, you will be an integral part of our dynamic and passionate team, responsible for delivering exceptional service and executing flawless wedding events. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to our continued success in creating magical moments for our clients.

We are currently seeking a part time wedding operations and sales assistant to join our team, located at our beautiful head office in Yarra Glen, Victoria.

This role is ideal for someone looking to begin their career in Wedding/Events Management or Sales who is available to work weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the weddings team to ensure the smooth execution of all wedding events, from setup to breakdown.

Provide a warm welcome to the wedding couples and guests, assist with seating arrangements, and respond to guest inquiries, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Assist in setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and any other event-related items according to client specifications and Zonzo Estate's standards.

Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring impeccable presentation and adherence to food safety protocols.

Liaise with external vendors, such as photographers, florists, and musicians, to coordinate their activities and ensure they align with the event schedule.

Assist in the efficient breakdown and cleanup of event spaces, returning them to their original condition.

Act as the primary point of contact for couples interested in hosting their wedding at Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley.

Conduct tours of the venue to showcase its features and amenities.

Provide detailed information about wedding packages, pricing, and inclusions.

Answer inquiries promptly via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in event operations, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.

Qualification in hospitality, event management or PR will be looked upon favourably.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Customer-focused attitude with a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Current RSA, or willingness to to attain one.

Previous sales or customer service experience, preferably in the wedding or hospitality industry.

Knowledge of wedding planning and event coordination is a plus.

Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

A genuine passion for sales and weddings.

This role includes weekend/evening work (as this is when the majority of our functions and events take place and when most people want to tour the venue).

Ideal hours would alternate between a 9am-10am start - till after the wedding ceremony or a 2.30pm-3pm start - till the end of the wedding reception, depending on weddings/tours we have booked in.

We are seeking someone for an immediate start (taking notice periods into consideration) to allow appropriate time for training in anticipation of the upcoming wedding season in August.
