2. TITLE OR DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Restaurant Manager Description: Responsible for organising and controlling the operations of the restaurant and related hospitality services at The Sir George Hotel to ensure exceptional dining and guest experiences.

3. ENGLISH LANGUAGE

This position requires a high level of proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with staff, suppliers, and customers.

4. FULL-TIME POSITION ONLY

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Jugiong, NSW. Standard working hours: 38 hours per week, with flexibility for weekends and evenings as required.

5. OCCUPATION TASKS

·         Organises and controls the operations of a cafe, restaurant or related establishment to provide dining and catering services.

·         Planning menus in consultation with Chefs

·         Planning and organising special functions

·         Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget

·         Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions

·         Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance

·         Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service

·         Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff

·         May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders

6. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.

·         Proven ability to manage and motivate hospitality teams.

·         Strong organisational and leadership skills with attention to detail.

·         Ability to plan and execute functions and events.

·         Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards.

·         Financial management experience including stock control and budgeting.

·         Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

7. QUALIFICATIONS

  • AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field; OR
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Additional on-the-job training or relevant hospitality certifications may be required.
