As an Arborist, you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals to carry out arboriculture maintenance on Council's owned trees in streets, parks and reserves. This includes the use of climbing techniques and EWPs to complete the required pruning and/or removal works throughout the City of Orange.
About the role
We are looking to employ an Arborist who is passionate about working outdoors and can work effectively as part of a team. You will have completed the relevant qualifications in Arboriculture and have previous extensive experience in a similar role with tree maintenance programs.
Reporting to the Tree Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that arboriculture activities are delivered to a high standard and ensuring the efficient management and maintenance of trees in streets parks and reserves. This includes:
- Vegetation management and pruning in streets, parks and other open spaces
- Tree removal and replacement planting programs, new plantings in road reserves and parks
- Providing advice to the public on tree maintenance issues
- Coordinate on-site workforce traffic management setups
- Maintaining equipment within the Tree Care team

So, what do you need?
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience
- Certificate III in Arboriculture (or equivalent)
- Certificate I and II Chainsaw Certification
- White Card
- Current MR Drivers Licence
- Traffic Control Licences
