Competitive Salary $63,380.20 - $73,658.52 + 11.5%Superannuation p.a (Depending on experience & qualifications)

About the Role
As a Plant Operator Open Spaces, you'll report to the Team Leader Open Spaces and assist in maintaining Council’s parks and open space assets. In this role you will:
- Operate a variety of plant and equipment including ride-on mowers, trucks, trailers, and other designated machinery
- Carry out general park maintenance, such as pruning, gardening, and upkeep of open space parks and reserves
- Perform manual labouring tasks as part of scheduled maintenance programs
- Work collaboratively with your team to deliver both planned and reactive services to a high standard
- Contribute to a strong workplace health and safety culture, identifying and managing risks in day-to-day operations
You’ll support the delivery of routine maintenance and contribute to the upkeep and presentation of public spaces across the region.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of medium to large plant such as trucks and trailers commercial ride on mowers, tractors, small motorised and electric gardening equipment and machinery.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices including iPad to facilitate day- to-day operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
- Hold and maintain MR Drivers Licence and a White Card (WHS Induction Card)
- Willingness to obtain Safe Handling of Sharps and ChemCert AQF III within 12 months of employment
- Be willing to participate in a Pre-employment medical prior to commencement
