Competitive Salary $60,211.84 - $69,975.88 + 11.5% Superannuation p.a (Depending on skills and experience)

The Opportunity:
As an operations crew member maintenance, you'll report to the team leader maintenance and work across multidisciplined areas/project teams where you'll be required to assist in the maintenance, repair & upgrade of Council roads and infrastructure. In this role, you will:
- Undertake a range of manual labouring tasks for scheduled and project works across Council’s Road network assets
- Operate small handheld tools and designated equipment and machinery involved in scheduled and project works
- Work in collaboration with the team to deliver programmed or reactive services to quality standards
- Foster a positive workplace health and safety culture by integrating the understanding and management of appropriate risks into all decision-making processes
Under direct supervision, you will contribute hands-on assistance in a variety of manual labour and skilled tasks, ensuring the continued functionality and enhancement of community infrastructure.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage),
- Demonstrated experience in operating of small handheld tools, equipment and machinery relevant to the field equipment.
- Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with customers.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices effectively to facilitate day- to-day operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
- Hold and maintain C Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card
- Willingness to obtain a Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course within 12 months of employment.
- Be willing to participate in a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
