Revenue Officer

The Package: $1,383.54 - $1,528.85 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 9 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work conditions may apply.

Council is seeking someone to assist in the efficient operation of the Revenue Section by ensuring rates and charges are issued accurately and in a timely manner.

In this role you will:

• Develop a solid working knowledge of all aspects of Council’s rating system.
• Provide professional customer service by delivering accurate information to rates and water enquiries.
• Input, review, and update data to issue rating certificates and maintain accurate billing details and customer information.
• Understand and apply the ratings provisions of the Local Government Act and QPRC Statement of Revenue Policy.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant qualifications in Local Government Rating / Water Billing or bookkeeping and/or experience in a similar role.
• Possesses exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Has comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and procedures relevant to a Revenue Section in a local government environment.
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft suite of programs.
