Find purpose and impact

As a Garbage Collection Operator, you'll play an essential, hands-on role in keeping the Dubbo region clean and enjoyable for all. Servicing the community of Wellington and surrounds, you’ll provide beneficial and cost-efficient general garbage collection services, including garden and food waste. Enjoy the flexibility of early starts and finishes whilst making an impact by contributing to the reduction of landfill.  

You’ll make an impact by:

• Assisting in the effective, efficient operation of the Waste Contract and Collection Team
• Completing allocated garbage runs effectively and efficiently
• Undertaking waste collection works at our landfill sites and transfer stations.

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Clase HR Drivers Licence with the ability to drive garbage trucks.
• General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
• Ability to be self motivated and work remotely from your team.  

We would also love you to have:

• Higher Grade truck licences and ability to operate other plant.
• Knowledge of computer operated weighbridge equipment.
• Knowledge of Dubbo Regional Council geography.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $65,812 to $76,484.
