The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to assist in carrying out the administrative functions of the Revenue department; including rates and charges, water billing, and accounts receivable, and also provide backfill and general assistance to the Revenue department as required.

As Revenue Officer, you will assist with levying of BVSC revenues including rates, user charges, debtor accounts and debt recovery as well as with Statutory and Regulatory reporting for revenue such as Pensioner Concession Claims and Rating Returns. You will assist the Revenue Team Leader with specific projects or tasks from time to time.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate IV in Finance (or related discipline) or equivalent qualification, and has a NSW Class C Drivers Licence.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including reconciliation of accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately
  • High level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide financial and accounts advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical and investigative skills

Benefits

This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,293.14 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,333.10 per week base salary
  • $153.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
