About the Role

Our Water Services Operator holds a vital role in delivering continuous supply of safe, potable water to our community. Council will provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed. You will work collaboratively as part of a team, with opportunities to take initiative and work independently when required by operational needs.

As our Water Services Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the Narrabri Shire; however, this position will be predominantly based in Wee Waa. In this fast-paced role, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted water supply. Some day-to-day duties include:

• Undertake maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure as part of a team.
• Respond to customer requests regarding water and wastewater.
• Be involved in the construction of new infrastructure as part of a team.
• Assist in the operation of water and wastewater treatment.
