ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Trainee Childcare Educator is responsible for assisting to provide a quality early childhood program to the youngest members of our community under the guidance of experienced educators. This role involves supporting the daily operations of a long day care service, promoting children’s learning and development, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support educators in supervising and engaging with children during daily activities
- Assist in implementing health, hygiene, and safety practices to ensure a safe environment
- Contribute to planning and delivering educational programs under guidance
- Help set up, pack away, and maintain a clean and organised learning environment
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with colleagues, children and families
- Assist with documenting children’s learning and development as directed
This position is offered on a temporary basis (up to 2-year traineeship) working 38 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award in the range of $803.30 - $920.10 per week plus superannuation.
