A bit about the role:
Our Engineering & Fabrication workshop maintains RVC essential services and infrastructure including a wide variety of plant and equipment. This opportunity provides a complex range of skills and experience during your apprenticeship. Enabling you to utilise your creativity and innovative approach in any challenging task. Work health and safety is a priority and being positive and proactive plays a major role in keeping safe.
In a trainee, we look for:
- Genuine interest in engineering, design & fabrication
- Intermediate Computer skills
- Leadership qualities & strengths
- High interpersonal & communication skills
- Innovative mindset & mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail & sound organisational skills
What you can learn:
- Maintenance and repairs of light and heavy fleet
- Engineering design & fabrication/welding
- Technical machinist equipment & tooling
- Essential service maintenance & repair
- Understanding of WHS and PPE requirements
- Time & priorities management
A Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship is full time employment for four (4) years and the proposed study will be a trade certificate in Engineering Mechanical Fitter/Welder
