About the Role
As a Gardener with Narrabri Shire Council, you’ll be part of a supportive team working all across the township's and surrounding Shire. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the Council’s parks, reserves, cemeteries, and public spaces are always looking their best.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain garden beds, sports fields, and open spaces by mowing, slashing, trimming, tree pruning, and weed spraying.
- Care for lawns/turf and operate irrigation systems to keep our public spaces lush and green.
- Identify and control plant diseases, pests, and other threats to ensure healthy landscapes.
- Participate in landscape design and construction activities to create vibrant outdoor public spaces.
- Ensure all equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles, is operated and maintained correctly.

About You
As our ideal candidate you will:
- Be a highly motivated, driven individual, with relevant qualifications in parks and gardens, horticulture, or landscape design.
- Have demonstrated experience within horticulture and landscaping with a proven record of achievements
