We have a unique opportunity based at our newly refurbished Shellharbour Airport.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Refueller/Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) to join our dedicated Shellharbour Airport team. This rare opportunity combines the role of aircraft refuelling with essential ARO duties during downtime, including maintenance tasks and runway inspections in line with CASA MOS 139 standards.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Refuelling aircraft, manage the quantity and quality of fuel and maintain the fuel depot and surrounding areas 
  • Audit, enforce and report on safety and security issues at the airport
  • Conduct runway and serviceability inspections of the movement areas/lighting in accordance with the requirements of the Aerodrome Manual and maintain the integrity of movement area and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces
  • Monitor access to the air side area and bird and wildlife management

Our ideal candidate would have previous experience in both aviation refuelling and as an Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) as well as hold an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC).

Shellharbour Airport has recently undergone a $20M upgrade including a new passenger terminal which opened in February 2021 and has been awarded Small Regional Airport (RPT) of the year.

  • 2x Permanent part time positions, working over a 7 day roster 
  • Required to participate in after-hours callouts and rotational on-call allowance 
  • 24 hours per week, with a commencing salary from $43,368 to $46,022 per annum (based n licences, skills and experience)

Please Note: 

  • This position requires a National Police History Check clearance (not required if you hold a current ASIC Card)
