Leading Hand - Maintenance Excavator

The Package: $1,331.02 - $1,470.74 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

Are you looking for a role that will help shape the future of our roads, and create real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? Council is seeking an experienced excavator operator to join our maintenance team as Leading Hand.

In this role you will:

• Operate Council’s Road excavators and supervise staff undertaking tasks within road maintenance, operation of work vehicles, maintenance, care and control of vehicles and worksite traffic control.
• Comply with workplace health and safety, risk, environmental and quality (HSEQ) objectives and targets.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a similar road construction and maintenance role.
• Has the capacity to effectively motivate and supervise staff for delivery of allocated activities.
• Has a current NSW Class MR driver’s licence (or equivalent)
