About Us:

Mungindi Community Mobile Day Care is a new Children's Service Centre to support the parents of Mungindi by offering a safe and nurturing environment for children to develop and grow. Owned and managed by Moree Plains Shire Council, our Day Care service has fantastic facilities to support a wide range of interests, offering play-based learning and engaging educational activities for children from up to 5 years. 

The centre is at the early stages of development so we are looking for driven, nurturing and compassionate Educators to join our Centre to take it to the next level!

Your Next Opportunity:

Joining Mungindi Community Day Care, you would be expected to be an active team member of our team that provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children.

We are looking for Temporary Child Care Assistants (until December 2026):

  • Casual ('as needs basis') childcare assistants
  • Part-time (15-hours - negotiable) childcare assistants
  • Full-time (38 hours) childcare assistants

Duties include:

  • Assisting in providing a consistent, nurturing, caring, happy, secure, creative and active environment for all children at the Centre.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with children, families and the broader community that support and focus on a healthy/proactive learning environment at the Centre.
  • To treat each child with dignity and respect, considering any cultural, socio-economic, or other differences and their individual needs.
  • Ensure a high standard of childcare and education within the Centre by being an appropriate role model at all times.
  • Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the Centre's operations.

Who are we looking for?

  • Educators who have completed OR working towards completing a Certificate III OR Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. 
  • A passionate individual who has the ability to assist with developing creative and stimulating programs based on the needs and interests of the children.
  • A highly empathetic and caring individual with the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including your team members and the families and children at our centre. 
  • A genuine team player and a fantastic multitasker. 
  • First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to use a range of basic computer programs, e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Genuine passion for fostering the growth and development of young children
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
