The role & you
We are excited to be offering two recently created Water Operations Works Scheduler positions .
As a Water Operations Works Scheduler, you will play a key role within the Water Operations Department of the Water & Systems Division. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance and response teams, ensuring efficient and effective management of both reactive and planned work. You will lead a variety of operational tasks, including the allocation of resources, scheduling of work orders, and ensuring all aspects of water and sewer network operations are carried out effectively and in compliance with regulatory standards.
You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality services to the community, maintain the integrity of the water and sewer networks, and provide timely response to issues that arise in the region. Your ability to prioritise, solve problems, and allocate resources efficiently will be critical to the success of the Water Operations team.
To be successful you will possess:

Operation, maintenance, and repair knowledge (Cert III in Water Industry Operations preferred).

Experience in work planning and task prioritisation.

Ability to analyse data and respond to emergencies effectively.

Strong communication and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $72,000 p.a.- $79,000 p.a. plus superannuation (commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
Location: This position will be based at the Water Services Depot, Muldoon Street, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
