The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a knack for tackling challenges head-on? Looking for a role where you can use your expertise to bring impactful change to your local community? Have experience leading civil infrastructure projects from conception to completion? If so, you could be exactly who we’re looking for.

In this integral position within KSC, you’ll lead the charge in the planning and delivery of civil infrastructure projects largely centred around landslip remediation throughout our Shire. Using your civil engineering technical skills in conjunction with your prior project management experience, you will manage the design and construction restoration of landslip sites and other civil infrastructure projects solving complex engineering challenges and delivering quality infrastructure outcomes for our community.

This role is a Full-time temporary position for a 3-year duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of landslip mitigation projects, leveraging your expertise to develop effective strategies and solutions.
  • Manage delivery of projects to ensure they meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements, and ensure works meet the required quality, health and safety, risk and environmental requirements.
  • Develop and manage requirements, scope and write delivery plans and budget estimates, resource requirements, and cost control across a project life cycle.
  • Identify and assess critical project issues and risks, and present fully integrated mitigation responses for review by Project Sponsors.

About You:

You bring:

  • Extensive experience in project management, with a demonstrated focus on landslip mitigation or related civil engineering projects. Specific Local Government experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Tertiary Degree/Qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Australian certified Engineer accreditation.
  • Certification in Prince 2, or other project management discipline.
  • General Construction Induction Card and a valid Australian drivers licence.
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation, regulations, design guidelines, and best practices pertaining to the building, security, and administration of State Government funded projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of consultants, contractors and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and foster collaborative relationships.

  • Total remuneration package of between $131,000.00 - $161,000.00 (inclusive of base salary, bonus incentive and superannuation).
