About the role
Are you ready to kick-start an amazing career in Finance? The City of Coffs Harbour is now accepting applications from candidates interested in completing a two-year traineeship in Certificate IV Accounting and Bookkeeping whilst gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the finance function!
As a Trainee Financial Support with the City, you will work amongst the City's experienced and passionate Finance team conducting tasks and projects associated with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and banking. You will learn how to assist in areas such as payroll and answering customer enquiries relating to financial matters.

The start date for this traineeship is flexible (e.g. 2025) depending on the circumstances of the successful candidate.
About you?
- Minimum completion of Year 12 Higher School Certificate, or equivalent such as Year 10 coupled with other study and experience.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office Products - word, excel etc.
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
- "Can do" positive attitude.
What's on offer?
- Between $687.10 and $803.30 per week (depending on age) + 11.5% superannuation
- Temporary two-year Full-Time position 35 hours per week.
- Scope for performance-based salary increases in line with the completion of studies.
