The Oppor­tu­ni­ty

We seek a Work Health and Safe­ty (WHS) offi­cer, who assists Alice Springs Town Coun­cil (Coun­cil) to main­tain strong oper­a­tional com­pli­ance and con­tin­u­ous improve­ment of its safe­ty cul­ture

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include assist in the imple­men­ta­tion and deliv­ery of the WHS man­age­ment sys­tem, data input of inci­dents and updat­ing and main­tain­ing WHS reg­is­ters, assist man­agers and super­vi­sors with rel­e­vant reviews and doc­u­ment con­trol for risk assess­ments, pro­vide admin­is­tra­tive sup­port to Council’s WHS Com­mit­tee and work groups, and assist in the imple­men­ta­tion of risk iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and con­trol strate­gies for spe­cif­ic activ­i­ties. Under­take work­site assess­ments with­in a WHS and risk con­trol con­text in coop­er­a­tion with rel­e­vant super­vi­sors and team leaders.

  • Attrac­tive salary of $86,187.13 p/​a plus dis­trict allowance — $ 2611 w/​dependents, $1498 w/​o dependents.
