The Shire of Halls Creek is seeking a dynamic and experienced Aboriginal Environmental Health Program Officer on a full-time basis to join our team. You will provide a service that empowers the community to make choices that contribute to and influence outcomes promoting health and wellbeing. The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Director Health and Regulatory Services and as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach to environmental health, the Aboriginal Environmental Health Program Officer contributes to strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of the Shire of halls Creek Aboriginal Environmental Health Program Strategy and Community Environmental Health Action Plans and programs. The Aboriginal Environmental Health Program Officer is responsible for the development of an effective environmental health promotion program aimed at increased awareness and adoption of Healthy Living Practices.
You will be required to have a relevant tertiary qualification in health promotion and/or significant demonstrated experience in a similar position with basic knowledge of Aboriginal health issues and a current Class C driver’s licence.
This position is subject to continued grant funding from the Department of Health.
