Plant Systems Officer

Location:  Tamworth, NSW

THE OPPORTUNITY

  • Assist in the coordination of the supply and delivery of internal and external hire of plant and equipment required for Council works operations,
  • Assist with all administrative processes to ensure transparency and auditability at all times.
  • Undertake sundry plant pool check-over process.
  • Arrange Electrical testing, tagging & associated record keeping for the division.
  • Learn on the job with a training plan designed to assist your developent in the role.

Our Plant and Fleet team are seeking a motivated enthusiastic individual who displays high levels of trust and integrity. You will have a desire to progress your career within Local Government and in particular the field of contract and category management. 

The Plant Systems Officer is responsible for:

  • Assist in the coordination of the supply and delivery of external hire of plant and equipment required for Council works operations, both ‘wet’ and ‘dry’, 
  • Assist with the issue and return of internal, external and Council permanently hired plant and equipment required for Council’s works operations

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Certificate III in Business (Administration), or similar
  • Relevant experience (typically 2 to 4 years) in office administration, hire industry, mechanical workshops or similar
  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (White Card)
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
  • Intermediate Certificate in the use of Microsoft Excel

Salary range: Grade 10 to Grade 12 (Depending on relevant skills) - $65,677.17 - $78,831.39 per annum plus superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary and training will be negotiated based on relevant skills, experience and the training plan associated with the role.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
