You will embark on a program of learning and skills development as an active participant in a vibrant team that delivers engaging library experiences, resources and programs across Shellharbour City Libraries.
This opportunity is open to both school leavers and mature age applicants who are eligible for admission to the Diploma in Library and Information Services.
The traineeship will include in-library practical training as well as theoretical requirements supported by TAFE online.
On successful completion of the traineeship you will have achieved your Diploma in Library and Information Services and have two years practical experience in a leading-edge public library.

- Temporary Full time, 35 hours per week up to 24 months (or for the duration of the traineeship)
- 7 day roster including evening and weekend shifts & access to flexi-time
- Salary up to $40,580.80 per annum (depending on education / years out of school)
- Plus 11.5% superannuation
- On the job training
- Compulsory course costs are paid by Council
- Up to 3 hours of study time per week

Please Note: This position requires a Working with Children Check clearance for paid workers (WWCC).
