Water Industry Operator

The Package: Annualised salary of $78,901.16 - $87,183.72 ($39.93 - $44.12 per hour) + 11.5% super and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26. The annualised salary includes all allowances other than on-call and overtime allowances and is the equivalent of Grade 11 in the QPRC Salary System 2024. Overtime Allowances, in addition to the annualised hourly rate, will be paid in accordance with the Award at the annualised hourly rate. An On-call Allowance, in addition to the annualised hourly rate, will be paid for eligible periods of time.

Full time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

In this role you will:

• Play an important role in delivering essential services to the growing QPRC community.
• Facilitate the day-to-day operation, maintenance and development of Councils water, recycled water, sewerage, and urban stormwater network infrastructure.
• Take part in the ongoing training and development of new staff within the team.
• Expand your skills and experience through hands-on work and advance your career with access to extensive training opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is experienced in water, recycled water, sewer and/or urban stormwater maintenance and operations.
• Can work collaboratively in a team, and mentor, train, and direct other staff.
• Can effectively use the Microsoft suite of programs, Council corporate systems, electronic records management and job-specific software and programs.
• Will participate in the on-call roster.
