About the role

The objective of this role is to provide support to individuals with disability in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguard Standards and funding providers.  You will be responsible in supporting clients based on their individual support plans and needs within a Supported Independent Living setting. As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and skill development – empowering clients to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders and supporting individuals with disability with choice and control to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.
  • Assisting with independent living skills and activities of daily living.
  • Administering medication and implementing personal support plans.
  • Completing clear, factual, and concise reports in an electronic reporting system (CTARS)
  • Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, preparing meals in line with individual mealtime management plans
  • Helping clients engage with their local communities and cultural services, through accessing community participation programs and recreational activities.

So what do you need?

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, we will also consider candidates who are currently studying
  • Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) certificate
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Verification (Or ability to obtain before starting)
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check
