What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • the package: $68,398 - $81,565 plus superannuation per annum
  • location: Grafton

About the role

Do you want to assist your community in a positive way and bring your high-level administration skills to the Council?

Your days will be busy and varied as you manage a diverse and high-level range of administrative duties. Utilising your skillset in administration, you will deliver superior customer service, manage a wide range of enquiries and work on projects independently. You will be in regular communication with the General Manager and Executive, providing administration assistance by researching issues, preparing draft reports, taking minutes and diary management.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

  • Address the essential criteria
  • Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.
  • Answer the 3 Target Questions - maximum 300 words each questions
    Q1. Give an example of how you turned a dissatisfied customer into a satisfied one. What did you do?

    Q2. Describe a work situation that required you to perform several tasks, or work on several projects at the same time. What did you do?
    Q3. Can you give examples of software applications you are using in your current role to make effective use of records, information and systems?

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Grafton office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
