Civil Designer x 2 positions

About the role

Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking Civil Designers who will be responsible for undertaking day to day surveying, designing, drafting, estimating and management associated with all Council's projects. You will be required to ensure that all projects undertaken comply with Council requirements, guidelines, and appropriate standards, and all projects will be completed within set time frames and within budgetary restraints. 

You will need to have extensive knowledge and experience in survey and CAD software (Civil 3D / Civil Site Design) as well as demonstrated ability to manage several projects at one time. 

You will hold a Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent. 

Key Requirements

• Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent
• Survey and Civil 3D / Civil Site Design software experience or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to undertake engineering design
• Demonstrated experience using survey equipment (Total station, Global Positioning Survey and Dumpy Level) for complex engineering projects
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at all levels
• Comprehensive conceptual, analytical, verbal communication and written skills of a high standard
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate major issues and liaise effectively with staff at all levels
• Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

Salary: $1,688.75 to $1,864.07 per week + superannuation

Position Status:  Permanent Full Time 

Hours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third week
