Permanent Fulltime Position
38-hour Week, Rostered Day off Every Fortnight
Salary Ranging from $92,442.48 - $107,433.04 per annum + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

 

About the Role

The Supervisor of the Out of School Hours ensures that the Wingecarribee Out of School Hours Service is conducted in accordance with all legislative and regulatory requirements and remains a viable service to the community. The role includes day to day service delivery; team leadership; administration duties; programming; planning and evaluation and liaison with families and community stakeholders.

The Supervisor Out of School Hours works with the team to provide:

  • Positive experiences and routines for children that promote their individual interests, independence, and self-help skills and which foster self-expression and self-esteem through the provision of a balanced program.
  • A safe and secure environment which fosters open, but professionally appropriate, communication between families, school, and the local community.
  • Council makes it a conditional requirement that persons accepting this role are willing to undertake the following roles under the Education & Care Services National Regulations 2011
  • Nominated Supervisor of Wingecarribee Out of School Hours Service, inclusive of Mittagong Before and After School Care and Wingecarribee Vacation Care.
  • Educational Leader of the Service, responsible for leading the development and implementation of the educational programs.

Essential Criteria

  1. Experience in working with children in 5 to 12 years range in formal setting.
  2. Knowledge and application of relevant legislation, regulations and standards which relate to the role, and in performing the required functions.
  3. Knowledge of and ability to implement the relevant approved learning frameworks under the
  4. National Quality Framework to take on the role of the ‘Educational Leader’.
  5. Highly developed leadership skills including ability to initiate change, continuously improve services and achieve results.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide team members with fair and consistent feedback and apply coaching and mentoring skills to enhance individual and team performance.
  7. Demonstrated experience in customer service standards to align organisational service delivery with customer expectations.
  8. Willingness and ability to obtain the relevant licenses, certification and registrations as is required to perform the role including a current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certification, attainment of an approved Child Protection course and clearance of a Working with Children Check.
