About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday at the Shoalhaven Water Depot, Flinders Road, South Nowra. This position is responsible for managing the new projects pipeline to efficiently introduce new initiatives to Shoalhaven Water's capital works portfolio.

This position is known internally as a Portfolio Planning Engineer.

Duties
Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Planning Engineer, the focus of this position is to:

  • Develop and maintain Water and Wastewater servicing strategies including development, maintenance, and utilisation of system hydraulic models.
  • Manage and coordinate projects from conception to completion.
  • Conduct detailed project needs validation and options assessments and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop and assess detailed project business cases and prepare detailed funding grant applications.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project cost estimates for budgeting and benchmarking.
  • Provide technical software support to key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Qualifications and experience in Project Management
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Current General Construction Induction card (WhiteCard)

This position requires high level technical, communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of key stakeholders.
