Our Water and Sewer team provides an essential service to our community. Servicing over 77,000 residents and consisting of 8 wastewater treatment plants, 160 wastewater pumping stations and 846km of sewer mains. We are looking for a Sewer Operations Attendant who is motivated and eager to join a busy team tasked with maintaining this sophisticated wastewater network. To be successful you should have experience in construction, hold a HR truck license or willing to obtain HR license prior to being appointed and be prepared to learn and develop your knowledge and skill base. Our Wastewater Operations team are an experienced team who strive to provide the best they can to our community.

The primary responsibility of the Sewer Operations Attendant is to undertake maintenance and construction works associated with the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council wastewater reticulation network. Specifically, you will be required to:

Complete connections, repairs and maintenance of wastewater mains and other components within the reticulation system
Respond to emergencies and organise resources/materials as required.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1,154.10 per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression.

Allowance: Adverse Working Level 1 / On-call / Sewer Choke
