Position Overview

As the Collections Services Librarian, you will take the helm in curating a dynamic library collection that resonates with our community’s needs. Your expertise will guide the collection development process, ensuring that our resources remain current, relevant, and reflective of diverse perspectives.

In this role, you will not only manage the selection and cataloging processes but also inspire and lead a team of dedicated library staff. Your knowledge of library management systems and metadata schemas will be pivotal in streamlining our acquisitions and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Who We’re Looking For

We seek a passionate librarian who is enthusiastic about cultivating a rich learning environment. Your visionary approach will drive our collection strategies and enhance user experience.

  • Degree in Library and Information Services with eligibility for membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
  • Demonstrated expertise in library resource management and collection development.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Extensive experience with cataloging standards and library management systems.

Salary & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $68,325 up to $78,572
  • Long service leave after 5 years of employment.
  • Flexible working arrangements with a rostered day off every 3 weeks - an extra 17 days off a year!
