The role & you

We are hiring Casual Pool Attendants for the Gloucester Pool for the 24/25 summer season! If you're enthusiastic and reliable, and passionate about creating a fun and safe environment, this role is for you. Whether you have experience or are new to the field, we offer guidance and training.

Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patrons with a friendly attitude, working customer service shifts in the canteen, and monitoring pool areas for safety and cleanliness. You’ll provide information on pool rules, schedules, and activities, help set up and maintain pool equipment, support safety procedures, and participate in training on pool operations and safety.

Requirements:

  • Passion for customer service and enthusiasm for creating a positive experience for pool visitors.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work multiple shifts per week.
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to processes and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.

You should be prepared to obtain a Royal Life Saving Society Australia Pool Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, NSW Food Authority – Food Handler Basics Training, and a Working with Children Check.

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component).

Remuneration: Hourly rate of $12.68 to $26.52 + superannuation & 25% casual leave loading (dependent on age) 

Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be Gloucester Olympic Swimming Complex located at Gloucester District Park, Boundary Street, Gloucester.

Tenure: Casual

Closing date: Sunday 20 October 2024 at 11.30 pm.
