Your New Role:
Are you a qualified Electrical Fitter looking for a new role with an award-winning organisation? Reporting to the Team Leader Electrical, you’ll work across all of Council’s water and sewer assets for the benefit of the Kempsey Shire community.
Day-to-day, you’ll be installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading electrical components and systems within water treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and sewer networks (including PLC work) – ensuring all works are completed with a focus on Work Health & Safety procedures and in accordance with AS3000. In addition, you’ll perform regular inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You’ll use your prior experience and knowledge to troubleshoot any electrical issues and implement solutions to limit downtime, ensuring the continuous operation of Council’s water and sewer infrastructure.

About You: The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be able to bring the following:
- Trade qualifications as an Electrical Fitter (Level 2 ASP highly desirable).
- Proven previous work experience as an Electrical Fitter. Specific experience in water and sewer infrastructure preferred – but not essential. PLC experience is a must (Omron, Allen-Bradley and Schneider highly desirable).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Work Health & Safety obligations as they relate to this position.
- Proven ability to use a computer including mobile devices and software applications.
- Physical capacity to work in an environment containing raw sewerage, confined spaces and heights.
