Support Assistant Community Care - Part Time

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Support Assistant to assist clients in maintaining their independence while living in their own homes for as long as possible. This is a permanent part time position with a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the potential for more hours depending on client’s needs and your availability.

As a Support Assistant you will assist our clients by helping them with everyday activities such as (but not limited to):

  • Support and assistance with personal care
  • Household cleaning and laundry
  • Assistance with shopping and Welfare checks
  • Social Support Group

What we are looking for in you:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or qualifications and experience in a similar role
  • Current Class ‘C’ driver licence
  • Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check clearance
  • Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Own a roadworthy, well maintained and tidy vehicle, available for use in day to day duties if a Bland Community Care Service vehicle is unavailable
  • Current Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • You want to make a difference in your community

The following criteria would be highly desirable:

  • Basic Administration Skills
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
