About the roles
This vacancy will be open all year round for Leisure Attendant - North positions.

Junior Leisure Attendant

  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to follow defined WHS policies and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and co-operatively as part of a team.

Lifeguard

  • School Certificate
  • Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Award or ability to completed Pool Lifeguard Licensing requirements (within 21 days of commencing duties)
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award
  • Current WorkCover accredited First Aid Award

Learn to Swim

  • Current AustSwim Certificate – Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety (or equivalent)
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR)
  • Current AustSwim (or equivalent) extension certificates enabling instruction of specialist areas is applicable

Aquatics Instructor – Coach

  • Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association Junior Squad and Assistant Coach Accreditation
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR)
  • AustSwim – Teacher of Water Safety

Fitness Instructor (Wet & Dry)

  • Certificate III in Fitness (Gym Instructor)
  • Current accreditation with Fitness Australia or the ability to obtain within 3 months of commencement
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR)
  • Previous experience / training in Group Fitness instruction including MOSSA (or equivalent)

Gym Assistant

  • Certificate III in Fitness (Gym Instructor)
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR)
  • Current WorkCover accredited First Aid Award

Duties
Reporting directly to the Manager, the focus of this position is to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to Shoalhaven Swim Sport Fitness Facility clients and members of the public.
  • The specific role you will perform will be dependent on the qualifications you hold. You will be appointed to perform one or more of the roles outlined Selection Criteria (please see attached job description).
