Water and Sewer Coordinator

Applications are invited for the position of Water and Sewer Coordinator, based at Council's Inverell Works Centre. The successful applicant shall be responsible for the operation of the water and wastewater sections of the Water Services Branch in accordance with the responsibilities input by the Manager Water Services.

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications
- NSW School Certificate/Record of School Achievement or equivalent;
- Trade Certificate in Plumbing or other relevant trade and suitable experience
OR
Suitable extensive experience including experience in water/sewer supply maintenance; - Successful completion of an approved course for supervisors
OR
Suitable experience; - NSW Class C Drivers Licence;
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card');
Skills and Experience
- Good planning, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills;
- Working knowledge and experience in administrative procedures including, report preparation, budget input and cost control;
- Working knowledge and experience in supervision of staff. Working knowledge and experience in an appropriate technical discipline;
- Working knowledge and experience in water supply, sewer, and/or treatment.
Desirable Criteria:
Qualifications
- Certificate III Water Industry Operations or equivalent is required or to be obtained for both Water and Wastewater Treatment;
- NSW Health Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies Certificate is required or to be obtained;
- NSW Class MR Drivers Licence, or ability and willingness to obtain;
- National Licence to perform High Risk for Dogging (DG) or ability and willingness to obtain;
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces Certificate or ability and willingness to obtain;
- Traffic Controller Certificate or ability and willingness to obtain;
- Implement Traffic Control Plans Certificate or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate in Copper Cable Location or ability and willingness to obtain;
- Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker Certificate or ability and willingness to obtain.
Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be Professional/Specialist Band 3, Level 2, Grade 15 to Grade 16. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,671.78 to $1966.43 gross per week.
